Abstract
Lumbar interlaminar and transforaminal epidural injections are used in the treatment of lumbar radicular pain and other lumbar spinal pain syndromes. The conjoined nerve root anomaly represents the most common nerve root anomaly, characterized by joint emergence of two adjacent roots and anastomotic nerve roots in which an abnormal connection exists between two adjacent roots. We report two cases of nerve root anomaly in which pain was more severe after transforaminal epidural block.
